OFTY makes annual additions to our teaching materials to help students better prepare for their role in the show. This season, we created a short video series for schools introducing each character from The Pirates of Penzance. In the series, OFTY artists describe how they see their character and what they do both physically and vocally to portray those traits to the audience. Seeing this character development will help students think about their own character in the show (a pirate, Major General’s ward, or constable) and how to play that person for their peers.
